"I had Robert and Jeff do a fit on me not to long ago. I was not to sure
of it at first(just ask them how much I resisted), being a old school
rider. Fit back in those days, was to pull the saddle all the way back
on the rails and drop the stem height. But after I had the FIT done on
me and the bike it was worth it. It takes some time it get adjusted to
the new feel(depends on how much is changed). I feel my power output
will be greater due to the diomech. changes made.(No I do not have a
power meter or anything, just have been doing this to long and know my
body) It is not an overnight change in power output but over a period
of time. That time will vary depending on how much you train. It is
worth the time and money."

Robert:
I wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I
am enjoying my riding since we did the fit on my bicycle.
You know my history. Having been away from riding for some
time and bringing my 10 year old Cannondale to the table to be ‘fitted’ I would
be less than honest if I didn’t say that I was, at best, skeptical. At the same time, I have put many miles in the seat of
that Cannondale and wanted to ensure my successful return to the cycling
world. As a result, I invested in
the full 3 – D fit.
Let me say at the outset, it was the best investment in
cycling I have ever made.
This past Sunday I went out on a 11 mile ride to test out the new
fit. I have to tell you that the
old Cannondale was never that comfortable on it’s best day years ago! The many adjustments that you were able
to make to both the bicycle and my riding style have combined to make riding an
entirely different experience.
The area which I noticed immediately was my knees. Over the years I guess I had developed
the habit of simply living with my discomfort under the knee caps. However, after you adjusted my
cleats, shimmed my shoes and
adjusted the seat height, the burning under the knee caps simply doesn’t exist
any more.
Also adding to the increased enjoyment of my riding was
the adjustment in the stem. I
realize that project turned into a bit of a challenge given the age of my
cycle. But, you managed to upgrade
the stem to more current technology and the reward was worth it. Now that we have shortened the extension
I no longer feel stretched way out over the handle bars. My riding position is a bit more upright
and I find that to be infinitely more comfortable. And, now, as you pointed out, when I
really want and need the power, I am comfortable down on the drops. In the past, while I could get to the drops, being
comfortable there was only a pipe dream.
I found your demeanor to be highly professional and the
breadth of your knowledge more than adequate for the task. I also found you to be highly customer
centric, going to extra mile to ensure that I was satisfied with the services
that you provided. And you took all the time in the world to
explain everything and answer every question.
Many years of come and gone since I started riding with
an old Schwinn La Tour. In that
time frame I would hate to guess how many times I have adjusted the stem stem of
a bike, twisted on the seat and in general tried to improve my riding
experience. It certainly was a
pleasure to do it all, once and for all and know that it was right!
Thank you for all your efforts Robert! The cycling community of the
Gulf
Coast is very fortunate to
have the services of such a skilled professional available to them!!
